What I've Learned at L'Arche
A poem by Dottie Bockstiegel
L'Arche Visits the US Capitol
As the sun set on Capitol Hill Wednesday evening, both the DC and Arlington communities returned home after an excellent day of touring the Capitol and enjoying lunch in the city.
Miracle on South 6th Street
Just months before the opening of the new L’Arche home in Arlington, it looked like it would take a miracle in Congress for Eva Hernandez to be able to move in.
L'Arche dance
If you've never yet been to a
L'Arche dance, I can tell you:
be prepared. This is no prom,
where you look your best and
compare others' bests to yours.
Regional Gathering
This past June 24–27, L’Arche Greater Washington, D.C., traveled to Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with the other L’Arche communities of the Northeast: Lynchburg, Blue Ridge Mountains, Erie, Irenicon, and Cleveland. For four days we ate, celebrated, learned, and prayed with our brothers and sisters from other communities.
